DUOYU is an independent rock band formed in Athens, Greece (2010), and their style falls into the broad spectrum of Rock, with English lyrics and musical influences ranging from alternative rock, funk, garage, and experimental music. Due to the different musical backgrounds of their band members, DUOYU manage to create their personal and distinctive sound. The band themselves describe their genre as “Proct Rock”, which is a more personal and humorous way to declare their Progressive Rock influences. During 2011 DUOYU make their first gigs, while working on new ideas, and by the end of the same year they record their first demo “Is it an elephant?” containing 4 tracks. Their live shows of DUOYU in 2012 receive a very warm welcome by fans of various music genres. At present, DUOYU concentrate on making their first tour in Greece and record their first album by the end of the year.
