Ideja o bendu koji će imati energiju punk-a, čvrste rock’n’roll rifove, pevljive refrene i osećajnost blues-a javila se još pre mnogo godina. Ideja je sazrevala, dok su članovi svirali po drugim bendovima, menjala se i THE BITE je tražio ljude koji su rasli na ulicama, i koji imaju tu „glad“ potrebnu za dobru svirku, ljudi koji su bili i biće deo ekipe, a opet mogu da doprinesu svojim sopstvenim pečatom, potpisom, ljude koji slušaju, sviraju i žive različitu muziku, a mogu bez problema da stanu rame uz rame i naprave nešto novo. Prva postava THE BITE-a, bila je: MILA-vokal, MLADEN–bubnjevi, IGOR-bas, SLOBA-gitara, BOJAN-lead gitara. U vreme kada Mila odlazi, bend snima svoj prvi demo snimak u novembru 2003. godine, u studiju „AMADEUS“. Snimak je rađen „live“ sa svim snimljenim instrumentima sem vokala, koji će Una (URLIK BESNOG PILETA), novi vokal, u februaru 2004 dosnimiti. Produkciju radi Đura ( ex EYESBURN), koji će kasnije raditi sa mnogim zvučnim imenima domaće i strane scene. Prvi zvanični snimak koji je jos uvek aktuelan snimaju u studiju kod Dadija ( ZONA B), koji radi i produkciju. S obzirom na svoje veliko iskustvo i kao muzicara blues benda, i producenta, Dadi daje svoj pečat u sirovu energiju svirke THE BITE-a. Na snimku kao „back“ vokal gostuje i prva pevačica Mila. Od 2006, na mesto Mladena, koji prelazi na gitaru jer i jeste gitarista, vraća se Sloba, ali na bubnjevima, međutim opet ubrzo napušta bend, da bi posle Borka ( ex PARTIBREJKERS), na njegovo mesto za bubnjevima došao Miša ( ANTI-DOTE). Pošto je Una napustila bend, krajem 2010-e grupi se pridružuje Julijana Vincan (HIMERA). U novembru 2011, bend ulazi u studio, i snima EP, MAKE YOU MINE, sa pet pesama, snimljenih uživo kod Bareta u "BARE WIRED", a koji najavljuje njihov novi album. Kao bend koji se orijentisao na klubske svirke, THE BITE od početka svira po raznim klubovima u Beogradu i drugim gradovima. Iako najbolje zvuči na velikim koncertima, bend ostaje pri stavu da je kontakt sa publikom veoma bitan, i da ne treba bežati od „malih“ svirki. Od EXIT-a do raznih manjih festivala, pa sve do klubova u koji staje jedva 50-ak posetilaca, THE BITE širi svoju publiku, pružajući im ono što jedan pravi rock’n’roll bend treba da ima, veliku i neumornu energiju, pevljive pesme sa sloganskim refrenima, i što je najbitnije dobar provod! ************************************************************************************************************************* The idea of a band, which would have the energy of the punk, strong rock’n’roll riffs, catchy chorus and sensibility of the blues, was born years ago. The idea had been percolating, while the members were playing in other bands. It had been changing, while THE BITE was searching for people who were growing up on the streets and who had the “hunger” necessary for a good gig, the people who were, and will be, a part of the team and who can still contribute with their own mark and signature. Those people can listen, play and live different music, but could also and without a problem, stand by each other and create something new. The members of the A team of THE BITE were: MILA – vocals, MLADEN – drums, IGOR – bass, SLOBA – guitar, BOJAN – lead guitar. In November 2003, when Mila left, band recorded its first demo in the “Amadeus” studio. The demo was done “live” with all recorded instruments except for the vocal, which would be added by Una ( HOWL OF THE MAD CHICKEN), new lead singer, in February 2004. Production was done by Djura (ex EYESBURN), who will work later with many famous names of domestic and foreign scene. First official material, which is still topical, they recorded in the Dadi’s (ZONE B) studio, where they also did the production. Considering his great experience as musician from the blues band and the producer, Dadi gives his mark on the raw energy of THE BITE’s music. In this recordings, the first singer of the band Mila also participates as “back” vocal. Since 2006, Sloba takes Mladen’s place on the drums, however, Sloba soon leaves the band. After Borko (ex PARTIBREJKERS) played on drums for a while, Misa (ANTI-DOTE) took over his place. After Una left the band, THE BITE have found new singer - Julijana Vincan (HIMERA). In 2011, the bend enters studio "BARE WIRED", where they record five songs for EP MAKE YOU MINE, that announces new album. As a band that concentrates on club gigs, THE BITE performs in various clubs in Belgrade and other towns. Although it sounds the best in big concerts, band retains the attitude that the contact with the audience is very important, and that they should not “run away” from “small” gigs. From EXIT to other various festivals, to the clubs where only 50 visitors can fit in, THE BITE expands its audience, offering them what every real rock’n’roll band needs to have: enormous and persevering energy, catchy songs with slogan-like choruses, and what is the most important thing – good times.
